Khan Academy is an online source of free videos teaching people on topics such as physics, finance etc. It has grown rapidly from one million unique viewers per month last year to four millions unique viewers per month this year. It is really a good source of knowledge for people who want to do some self-studying or read up on interesting subjects.
Home tutors can also use this resource to help their students understand difficult concepts during tuition. The use of e-learning technologies in today’s world will no doubt benefit many. In Singapore, we also have similar websites which provide free videos on various subjects. One such website is Pencil College. This local website provides teaching videos on many mathematics concepts.
If you are really serious learning, you should check out the free resources from MIT”s opencourseware. Real MIT lecture recordings can be viewed online for free!
